Como conseguiste esta foto??? Disseste-lhe que andavas à procura de bichos giros para a capa da próxima National Geographic?

Consegui durante uma semana tirar aprox. 300 fotos a este "Senhor" (algumas bem melhores que esta, esta foi apenas uma experiência de colocação no Forum).

Bem... Nesse caso, ficamos à espera das outras 299 fotos.

Tirada com Canon 5D, objectiva EF 400mm f/5.6L USM e multiplicador focal EF 1.4x II.

Hi Pedro,

Although this is a large and often approachable bird it is not always easy to get a good shot. I was lucky that this was a very clean bird (if they have been feeding in the mud they can look filthy and not at all photogenic) and the light was just "spot on" (the image isn't as sharp as I would like but it was only with a 400D and is heavily cropped).

I cannot tell how close your bird was or what the crop factor is, but I would have thought that you might have got sharper images with your lens and the 5D. I would be interested to know what camera settings you used and if any post processing has been done.

Hi Colin,

The first photo doesn’t have any crop, the last two have a 10% crop.
All the 3 photos don´t have any processing, they are the JPEG (I always shoot in RAW + JPEG).
The shooting date/time was 15-08-2007 16:19 (the only possible time to shoot, during the baby sleep).
The camera settings were:
Tv(shutter speed) 1/500sec.
Av(Aperture Value) F8.0
Iso 125
AF manual
Parameters: Standard
Focal Length: 560mm

I have sharper and better photos of this bird but I think that they should be processed before anything (specially the RAW ones).
