The BIG problem with photographing this species at this locality is that there is a constant traffic of tourist coaches (often four or more with a total of several hundred people) which arrive, everyone gets off the coach (mainly Germans!), and if you are there with a big lens on a tripod they all come up to see what you are photographing.

If I was alone I could get these birds to feed from my hand!

Such is the life of a bird photographer.

Well, you can alwas call the cops because all these foreigners are illegally visiting the area (all organised groups need a permit which these groups of foreigners don't have)

I have a better solution Gonçalo; you might have noticed that at the cliff edge to the north of the carpark there is a "memorial stone" cemented into the ground to commemorate a German visitor who got too close and was blown off the cliff and died. Most of these "coachies" go and look at it, and I have fantasies about giving each one just a little push to help them on their way!!

This goes especially for the big, fat, cigarette-smoking b@stards who always walk between me and whatever I am trying to photograph - what a splash they would make .

Edit: Just in case this is taken as an "anti German" comment, I should add that I take a similar view of any coach load of brain-dead morons whatever their nationality. Brits are just as bad, and the two coaches which interrupted me taking these photos were actually full of Spaniards.
