Passeriforme em Sagres

Olá, sou novo mebro deste forum, foi o Colin quem me indicou o forum. não conhecia.
Tirei estas fotos no dia 21 de Outubro em Sagres, estava nos arbustos baixos, junto ao monte de Cabranosa, parece que é uma espécie que ainda não conheço bem:

Concerteza muitos de vocês sabem o que é , eu não estou a descobrir.

Agree with Thys, this is an Escrevedeira (Emberiza cirlus). Probably a juvenile (1° inverno) rather than an adult female (juv. has no yellow on breast, but cannot see this in your photos). These are not easy birds in winter plumage! This species is quite common in some parts of Algarve, but I have never seen it in the Sagres area.

Indeed some species whcih are considered to be resident in Portugal only turn up at Sagres during passage periods. This suggests that migratory (or dispersive?) populations do occur.

This is where I find the "Collins Bird Guide" (most people's "Birding Bible") most frustrating; I have both the English and Portuguese editions and often find that the Portuguese edition does not give the "normally accepted" Portuguese common name. i.e. on page 372 the Cirl Bunting (Emberiza cirlus) is given the name in bold letters "Escrevedeira", but underneath, in normal text, it is named "Escrevedeira-de-garganta-preta".

I have encountered this problem may times when submitting my sightings to SPEA's "Noticiário Ornitológica".

It is rather comforting to know that the common-name nomenclature in Portugal is just a big a mess as it is in the U.K.!!

Só por curiosidade, e já que estamos a falar de nomes vernáculos, esta espécie (Emberiza cirlus) é conhecida por aqui como Escrivão ou Cabeça-riscada (que nos machos até tem a sua lógica...). Em contrapartida o seu congénere que ocorre durante o Inverno (Emberiza cia) é conhecido como Chapa-chapa (talvez pelo seu hábito de andar de moita em moita junto ao solo...) ou Escrivão-cinzento.
