Coturnix coturnix.
Thank you Simon,
This photo isn´t as “clean” as I would like to (to much Hordeum murinum - cevada-de-rato) but is the possible one. As the bird realised that I was there, stood still for 5 seconds and disappeared in the grass immediately .
Next time I will trie a better one - that’s for sure!!

Taken from the BWP on CD-ROM: copyright Oxford University Press.
Slight, but complex; involves size, general colour tone of plumage, and throat markings of adult (. Size greatest in nominate coturnix from Madeira, Canary Islands, Europe, North Africa, and western and central Asia; distinctly smaller elsewhere, including Azores and Cape Verde Islands. Smallest birds in Comoro Islands and Mascarenes. European nominate pale - slightly paler and greyer still towards central Asia, slightly darker on upperparts and deeper rufous below towards North Africa. South African africana darker on underparts and upper wing-coverts, brown deeper and more rufous, black more extensive; erlangeri much darker still. Cape Verde Islands population (inopinata) pale like nominate, but smaller. Populations on Madeira, Canary Islands, and Azores slightly darker: those of first 2 close to North African populations in colour and size, and included in nominate; that of Azores small and like africana, but wing-coverts more rufous, less olive - thus separated as conturbans. Birds of Comoro Islands, Madagascar, and Mascarenes close to africana. Proportions of pale and rufous morphs of adult male highly variable over range; generally, populations with dark and rufous overall colour show preponderance of rufous-cheeked males, pale-coloured populations have high proportion of white-cheeked males. In west and north Europe and west and central Asia, c. 80–90% white-cheeked, with marked contrast between dark anchor and white sides of throat; remainder with much chestnut, less white, no marked contrast. Percentage similar to west Europe on Madeira and Cape Verde Islands; c. 65% white-cheeked on Canaries. Towards southern Europe and North Africa, relative number of rufous-cheeked males increases: only c. 20% show white in North Africa, c. 15% on Azores, but 10–50% in East and southern Africa.

Coturnix coturnix II.

Boas,
Posso recomendar-vos o site www.anillamiento.net.
